Frequently Asked Questions
How do I know which therapist is right for me?
Start by exploring our therapist profiles. Dr. Tom Murray specializes in sex therapy, couples counseling, and financial therapy for high-achieving professionals. Hannah Smith focuses on LGBTQ+ affirming care, kink-affirming therapy, and support for neurodivergent individuals. Randy Garcia offers bilingual Spanish and English therapy across a wide range of specialties. If you're unsure, mention your goals in the intake form and we'll help match you with the best fit.
Do you offer telehealth sessions?
Yes. All of our therapists offer secure video sessions to clients throughout North Carolina. Telehealth therapy is just as effective as in-person sessions for most concerns, and it removes the barriers of commute time and scheduling. In-person sessions are also available at our Greensboro, NC office for those who prefer it.
What happens after I submit the contact form?
You'll receive an email confirmation right away. A therapist will review your information and reach out within one business day to schedule your free 15-minute consultation. That call is a chance to ask questions, discuss your goals, and make sure we're the right fit — with no obligation to continue.
Do you accept insurance?
Insurance acceptance varies by therapist. Please visit our Insurance & Fees page for up-to-date details on accepted plans and self-pay rates. If you have questions before booking, you're welcome to mention them in your intake form or ask during your free consultation call.
How long is a therapy session?
Standard individual therapy sessions are 50 minutes. Couples counseling sessions are typically 80 minutes to allow adequate time to address both partners' perspectives and the relational dynamic. Session length can be discussed and adjusted based on your needs during your initial consultation.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes. Everything discussed in therapy is protected by HIPAA and professional ethics standards. There are narrow legal exceptions — such as imminent risk of harm to yourself or others — that a therapist is required by law to report. Outside of those specific situations, your sessions are completely confidential. Our booking and communication systems are fully HIPAA-secure.
