Who I Work With

I work best with adults in their late 20s to 50s who look high-functioning on the outside but are internally overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected. People who are tired of carrying things alone and are ready for real, structured change.

Many of my clients are professionals, partners, or individuals navigating relationship strain, emotional disconnection, trust issues, or major life transitions. Some come in because communication keeps breaking down. Others because intimacy has faded, resentment is building, or something happened that shook the foundation: betrayal, secrecy, emotional distance.

I also work with individuals dealing with anxiety, overthinking, impulse struggles, or patterns they don't fully understand but know are costing them in their relationships, their peace, or their sense of control.

A lot of the people I see are the "strong one." They've pushed through stress, trauma, and complicated past experiences. But at some point, what used to work stops working.

About Randy

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I saw how often people struggle with complex emotional and relationship issues without any clear direction. My work is driven by helping clients move beyond just understanding their problems and actually changing them in a meaningful, lasting way.

My approach is direct but collaborative. I challenge patterns when needed while also giving you the structure and tools to create real change. Whether you're coming in individually or as a couple, the goal is the same: clarity, emotional regulation, stronger communication, and a clear path forward.

Working with couples, trauma survivors, and individuals navigating major life transitions has shaped how I show up in the room. I work hard to create a space where clients feel respected, understood, and able to show up without judgment.

Outside the Office

You'll find me at CrossFit, exploring tech and productivity tools, or traveling to experience new cultures. My dog Miku keeps me grounded. Investing in your own growth, relationships, and health makes you a better therapist. I take that seriously.

Identity & Lived Experience

As a bilingual therapist fluent in English and Spanish, I understand the role culture, family dynamics, and communication styles play in therapy. My Hispanic background gives me sensitivity to:

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect from therapy with Randy?
Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and goal-oriented. My approach balances emotional insight with practical strategies, helping you better understand yourself while building tools you can apply in daily life. Whether you're navigating anxiety, relationship concerns, trauma, life transitions, or intimacy issues, I create a space where you feel comfortable being honest, understood, and productively challenged.
What patterns might be holding me back, and how do you identify them?
Therapy isn't only about reducing symptoms. It's about increasing self-awareness. The biggest breakthroughs often happen when we explore recurring emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, coping styles, or beliefs that developed over time. I value clients who are curious about understanding themselves more deeply, even when those answers feel uncomfortable at first.
If our relationship is struggling, does that mean we're incompatible or doomed to fail?
Not necessarily. Many couples wait until patterns of disconnection, resentment, avoidance, or intimacy issues have been present for a long time before seeking help. In many cases, the problem is less about a lack of love and more about communication patterns, unresolved emotional injuries, unmet needs, or difficulty feeling emotionally safe with each other. My role is not to pick sides, but to help you better understand your patterns and what meaningful change would realistically require.
How do I know if therapy is actually helping?
Therapy progress is not always linear. Clients often notice improvement when they respond differently to stress, communicate more clearly, set healthier boundaries, or feel less reactive in situations that previously overwhelmed them. My goal is to help you function, relate, and cope more effectively over time. Not just feel better for a week.
Do I need to have everything figured out before starting therapy?
Not at all. Many people start therapy feeling confused, overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure what they even want to talk about. Therapy is a space to slow things down, organize your thoughts and emotions, and better understand what's happening beneath the surface. You don't need to arrive with perfect insight or the right words. Finding those together is part of the work.

Client Outcomes

Anonymized · All identifying details have been changed

A couple in their 60s came to therapy after years of emotional disconnection, repeated arguments, and growing resentment. They described feeling more like roommates than partners and were unsure whether the relationship could be repaired. Through therapy, they learned how to communicate without escalating conflict, identify the emotional patterns underneath their arguments, and rebuild emotional and physical intimacy. They reported feeling more connected, understood, and emotionally safe with each other again.

A couple in their mid-30s came to therapy struggling with chronic anxiety, self-doubt, and difficulty setting boundaries in relationships. Much of their life had been spent prioritizing others while ignoring their own emotional needs. Through treatment, they developed healthier coping strategies, improved self-awareness, and became more confident expressing their needs without guilt. They later shared that therapy helped them feel "more like themselves again" after years of functioning in survival mode.

A client navigating identity exploration, anxiety, and the emotional impact of feeling misunderstood came to therapy for the first time. They described it as "the first place where I felt genuinely heard without judgment." Over time, they reported improved emotional regulation, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of stability and direction in their life.
